BIRD started with a simple question: Why does cycling apparel sometimes feel unnecessarily complicated? The fun part about cycling is going into nature and enjoying the simplicity, but the simplicity of nature is often missing in cycling apparel.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2025 by Wouter and Bram, this is what we missed in cycling clothing. BIRD was not created as a brand trying to reinvent the wheel, but as one aiming to do things better.

For us, cycling is about more than just performance. It’s about the calm surroundings of being outdoors, the freedom of movement, and the ever-changing landscape around you. Nature is at the core of BIRD. That’s why we consciously choose recycled materials and design apparel that not only performs well, but is made to last both in durability and in style. On top, we donate 10% of our profit to organizations that protect birds in nature.

Our designs are created on the road. The colors you see, the places you pass through, the small details you might otherwise overlook. That’s where BIRD finds its inspiration. Our first design was inspired by the kingfisher: small, fast, and striking in its simplicity, with colors you won’t easily forget.

Our growth is driven by a community that values quality, conscious production and a genuine connection to cycling and nature. With BIRD, we aim to return to the essence: honest cycling apparel, inspired by nature, made to last.
